How much does a Discord server boost cost officially?
Buying directly from Discord, a server boost is $4.99 per month (or $49.99 a year per boost). Nitro subscribers get 2 boosts bundled into the subscription and 30% off any extra ones — $3.49 each. Boosts are per-server and monthly: stop paying and the level drops. There's no bulk discount, so the bill scales linearly with the level you want.
Discord publishes these prices on its own Nitro and boosting pages: $4.99 per boost per month at full price, $3.49 for Nitro members, and every boost renews monthly on the date it was applied. Two details catch people out. First, the yearly boost price is charged up front per boost, so 'boosting for a year' means paying for twelve months of every boost at once. Second, the two boosts that come with Nitro belong to your Nitro subscription, not to the server — if your Nitro lapses, those two boosts leave the server with it and the level can drop.
How much does each boost level cost — Discord vs SlayKeys?
Levels need 2 / 7 / 14 boosts, and SlayKeys sells boosts in even quantities at $1 each, so the comparison per level looks like this:
| Target | Boosts needed | Bought at SlayKeys | Discord list price / month | Discord Nitro rate / month | SlayKeys / month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 2 | 2 | $9.98 | $6.98 | $2 |
| Level 2 | 7 | 8 | $34.93 | $24.43 | $8 |
| Level 3 | 14 | 14 | $69.86 | $48.86 | $14 |
| Server Tag only | 3 | 4 | $14.97 | $10.47 | $4 |
Even at the Nitro rate ($3.49), Level 3 is $48.86 a month — still 3.5× the $14 route. The gap widens over a year: a Level 3 server boosted at Discord's list price costs $838 for twelve months, versus $168 through SlayKeys, and the perks are identical because the boosts are identical. The table assumes you buy the even quantity closest above the threshold; a spare boost is not wasted, it can be dedicated to a perk unlock or simply keeps the level safe if one booster account leaves.
What does each boost level actually unlock?
Level 1: 100 emoji slots, 24 soundboard slots, an animated server icon, better voice quality. Level 2: 1080p Go Live streaming, 50 MB uploads for every member, role icons, a server banner. Level 3: a custom vanity invite (discord.gg/your-name), 100 MB uploads, the best audio quality, an animated banner. Since 2026 boosts can also be dedicated to a specific perk — a Server Tag takes 3 — and those dedicated boosts don't count toward the level, so plan the total accordingly.
Two things the perk list does not say. Level perks are cumulative, so a Level 3 server has everything from Levels 1 and 2 as well, and Discord keeps the extra emoji, stickers and banner in a hidden state if the level later drops — you get them back the moment the boost count crosses the threshold again. And since 2026 boosts can be dedicated to a specific perk (a Server Tag takes 3, animated role colours 3, badge packs 2); dedicated boosts do not count toward the level, so a server that wants Level 2 plus a Tag needs 7 undedicated boosts plus 3 dedicated ones — 10 in total, bought as 10 here.
Why are $1 boosts cheaper, and what should you check?
The boosts come from real boosted accounts that a supplier holds; they're applied to your invite link and behave like any other boost — same perks, same counter, same level. What to insist on from any cheap seller:
- invite link only — never admin rights, a bot token or your password;
- a clear duration — real boosts are monthly; 'lifetime boosts' don't exist;
- a redelivery guarantee if a boost drops early — SlayKeys re-applies for free.
At $1 per boost, one month of Level 3 costs less than a single official boost.
The comparison to keep in mind: an official boost is $4.99 because Discord bundles it with the account that buys it, while a reseller boost is $1 because the supplier already pays for boosted accounts in bulk and rents their boost slots out. That is why the boosts show up in your Server Settings → Server Boost list under those accounts' names, and why they last exactly one month like any other boost. If a booster account ever leaves early, the boost goes with it — which is the case a redelivery guarantee exists for.
Step by step
- Decide the level: 2 boosts for Level 1, 8 for Level 2 (threshold 7), 14 for Level 3.
- Open @slaykeys_bot, pick Discord Server Boosts and the quantity, pay by card or crypto.
- Paste your server's invite link — no login, no admin access needed.
- Boosts land within minutes; reorder the same quantity when the month ends to keep the level.
