First: your account must be on the Turkey region
Apple gift cards are region-locked — a Turkey card only redeems on an Apple Account whose store country is currently set to Türkiye. If your account is on another country, you'll get a 'code must be redeemed in a different country or region' error. So make sure you've switched your region to Turkey first (we have a separate step-by-step guide for that). Once you're on the Turkey store, redeeming is quick.
Spending your balance the smart way
Your new balance is in Turkish lira and can be spent anywhere in the Turkey store. The best value:
- Apple Music — subscribe monthly (~₺60) or grab the yearly plan (~₺600) for the biggest saving.
- Apple Arcade — ~₺70/month for 200+ premium games.
- Any paid apps, games, in-app purchases or app subscriptions, which are much cheaper on the Turkish store.
Balance is tied to the Turkey store, so spend it there; if you ever switch your region back home, use up the balance first because it can't transfer.
Which gift card amount should I buy?
Pick the amount that matches what you want. A smaller top-up covers a couple of months of Apple Music; a larger one comfortably covers the full Apple Music yearly plan with room to spare for Arcade or apps. You can always top up again later — there's no need to overload the balance, since it only spends in the Turkey store.
